Esta canción de Gwen Stefani ha sido el cuarto single perteneciente a su segundo disco, “The sweet escape”. “Now that you got it” ha sido un single paralelo con “Early Winter”, aunque fue lanzado antes que este último. El single fue publicado el 17 de Septiembre del 2007 en Europa y en Estados Unidos el 8 de Octubre del 2007. Aun así, en las radios se pudo escuchar el single promocional el 20 de Agosto de este mismo año.

El estilo de esta canción es pop rap, pero para el single promocional, realizaron una remezcla en la que colaboró Damian Marley, el Hybrid Mix. Fue escrita por Sean Garrett, Gwen Stefani y Swizz Beatz.

El vídeo está bastante bien, aunque se nota bastante la artificialidad de los fondos en algunos momentos, pero en conjunto es desenfadado y colorido. El vídeo transmite muy bien el ambiente caribeño, ya que de hecho se rodó en Puerto Rico y Jamaica.

Fue dirigido por Saline Project y se estrenó el 4 de septiembre del 2007 en la MTV. Como siempre, salen sus inseparables bailarinas, las Harajuku Girls y los bailarines que acompañan a Gwen en los tours (Flea, Legacy, Remedy y Steelo).

En el vídeo también aparece Damian Marley, que canta algunas estrofas de esta remezcla especial. Gwen aparece en unas scooters con las Harajuku Girls, se suceden escenas en parajes tropicales, Gwen en una playa mandando un SMS invitando a alguien a una fiesta nocturna, la fiesta nocturna donde ella sale cantando, un bar al aire libre, etc…

Esta canción no ha sido un éxito comercial, en parte de por ser uno de los últimos singles. De hecho es su single menos vendido en Reino Unido.
