Britney Spears - Break the ice

Este es el tercer single del último disco de la Britney, “Blackout”, donde nos plantea una especie de versión animada a su otro éxito similar, “Toxic”, en el que encarnaba a una heroína.

En el vídeo de “Break the ice”, que es de un estilo anime, igualmente encarna a una superwoman con poderes que lucha contra unos supuestos villanos. Suponemos que con esto, la Spears se resarce de todos los hombres que le han puteado últimamente, (lease el Kevin y su padre, for example).

La verdad que el vídeo no parece muy bien casado con la música, pero está bastante original y chulo para ser de Britney, donde la vemos repartiendo toñas y mantecas al personal en un sensual traje que le marca una estilizada figura que a buen seguro, no disfruta en estos momentos. El vídeo fue dirigido por Robert Hales y se produjo en Corea del Sur, siendo estrenado el 13 de Marzo del 2008.

Lo primero que se me pasó por la mente es: “¿Tan mal está Britney que no aparece en el vídeo personalmente y se marcan un vídeo de animación para paliar la mala imagen que tiene la princesa del pop en estos momentos? No lo sé, pero esperamos mejores tiempos para la Spears.

“Break the Ice” fue compuesta por Nate Hills, Keri Hilson, James Washington y Marcella “Ms. Lago” Araica, siendo producida por Danja. Es un corte electro que aunque lleve esos samples cansinos r&b tan de moda en USA, se deja escuchar bastante bien. En Suecia llegó al puesto 11, quedando en posiciones más discretas en otras listas mundiales, como el 42 en el POP 100 del Billboard o el 69 en Reino Unido.

Este es el vídeo donde vemos a Britney embutida en un traje azul oscuro ceñido muy sexy. Al final del vídeo parecen dejarnos en suspense, anunciando una continuación del vídeo.
